Our tutors are a talented and friendly bunch of people who enjoy helping our learners develop their skills.
"Talitha is a HPCSA registered Trauma Counsellor with experience in private practice as well as a variety of non profit organizations. Her niches in the field range from PTSD, relationship and marriage counselling to mental illness.
Being a former TEFL teacher with experience in South Korea, she is a lover of education, language and travel.
She is also an E-tutor of Psychology (PYC2601) at the University of South Africa as well and a Talent Manager to Entertainment and Media professionals across South Africa'
Talitha has counselled children and teenagers with focus on child trauma, abuse, PTSD and behavioural challenges."
Kirsten is employed as a Registered Counsellor at an addiction rehabilitation centre. Kirsten started working there after completing her training at a variety of clinical and community based internship sites. Kirsten gets to see many people from all walks of life with varying emotional issues that they wish to talk about. Guiding people on improving their lives and resolving troubling issues is her passion in life.
After Kirsten’s honours degree I went on to qualify as a Registered Counsellor. Kirsten frequently attends CPD meetings and does research in order to stay up to date with the latest happenings in the field of psychology. She is also a member of the Health Professions Council of South Africa.
Sharmilah started her private practice focusing mainly on addiction, and offering healing and support to families faced with addiction. This, together with her ongoing research, gave her the opportunity to study further, doing two levels of Play Therapy.
Originally Sharmilah did a BA degree at the University of Western Cape. She then completed a Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Communication at the South African College of Applied Psychology (SACAP)
As well as running her own private practice, Sharmilah also volunteers as a counsellor at a Child and Youth Care Centre, facilitates for Gamblers Anonymous, and is a member of the Council of Counsellors, and a member of Comensa.
